Developer work

As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 developer, also called a D365 developer in our company, I am a part of the SW development team, and my job is to build, extend, and integrate our business applications in compliance with functional specifications.

As a D365 Developer, I can work with leading–edge technologies and participate in various kinds of tasks and projects. Our solution utilizes Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations with the Retail (Commerce) extension. 

My days are devoted to translating requirements into functional blocks and developing components that expand Dynamics 365 to align with our business needs. I also oversee code reviews to ensure the highest quality implementation within our team.

I maintain the high-performance.NET-based backend systems using C#. Additionally, I have an opportunity to leverage the power of Azure Cloud services to enhance the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our software solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our organization. I can also improve my IaC knowledge, as we use IaC to manage our infrastructure. 

I work closely with the frontend development team to create seamless integrations between the React frontend and backend functionalities and cross-functional teams such as database or infrastructure teams to analyze business requirements and turn them into real-life solutions. Our teams work based on SCRUM and Kanban methodologies.

We are obliged to comply with HIPAA, keeping clients' protected health information (PHI) safe. Our goal is to follow ISO 27001, the leading international standard focused on information security.

Tech stack requirements

To excel in this role, l need hands–on experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations capabilities and architecture.  For my success, I need advanced knowledge of the Microsoft development stack and proven experience in programming and design principles using X++, C# and .NET.

And, of course, a deep understanding of Azure cloud services will make me an asset to our team and would be beneficial but not essential.

Salary range
From 2 600 gross/month. Final salary agreement depends on candidate's skill-set and experience.

Language skills
English – Upper intermediate (B2) and  Slovak – Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality Requirements

In ABB Solutions Slovakia, we don’t really care about the educational degree and academic background.

Having specific soft skills beside technical skills is the only one aspect of becoming a skilled developer. Effective prioritization is essential in this role. Developer must prioritize their work, his work determines some important architectural choices. If not, the implementation and deployment process may be slowed down or interfered with by the ongoing requirements to address previous problems.

Another important skill is flexibility. Dynamics 365 app development is very adaptable, the team responsible for their development must be ready to react swiftly to changing circumstances.

Let’s mention communication and effective collaboration. Developers that work in our team must be able to communicate with the team, with manager, with the client. A developer must be able to explain some concepts clearly, explain them to the team and to the client.

And he final crucial point is ability to cooperate with the team, and problem-solving attitude. IT goes hand in hand with everything mentioned above.
